Looking at light pouring through a glass of water on a sunny day, I can't help but make connections to the soul.

The light represents the light of consciousness that is everywhere. God, if you will.

The glass vessel represents how we individuate this light.

The water represents the contents of the conscious and unconscious mind.

And the reflected light shines through this water, and plays gently on the table top, represents the light of our presence....  Our unique soul expression. How we show up in the world.

Your moments of aliveness

It's easy to get lost in "social media ". I can twitted you "what I'm doing" or facebook you "what's on my mind". But how cool would it be to share moments of aliveness with each other? You know, those timeless, beautiful moments that happen in the split second we notice something we never noticed before. I would just love to hear yours. Here is one of mine. I've noticed just how pure and white light can be (in my lime and soda!)

A painting for Barack Obama

Here is the (as yet incomplete) piece that I intend to send to the White House. There are a couple more layers of paint now. It may look a little messy, but it's all coming together! The final layers of oil paint will we a central figure with it's left hand in the air, releasing a White flame from the palm of it's hand.

Liberty, the re-emerging world soul, inspired by the inauguration speech of Barack Obama

I am working on a new piece, inspired by the speeches of Barack Obama. It's called "Liberty - the re-emerging authentic world soul." Here is a picture of some of the first few layers.

(I will be revealing the piece at my exhibition in June - then I will be sending it off to the White House. I suspect Obama could do with a source of inspiration in these trying times!)

Where are the white spaces?

Flying over Greenland last week, I saw what was one of the last “white spaces” on the our maps.

The pioneer spirit in me wishes I could step on a land where no one else has trodden.

Then, I guess, the only white spaces are those which remain within us.
